I ordered the overlays from EtsyIs that a kit? Mine is being built this week! Love to finish the blackout.
how do the Focal's sound?Installed a Scosche LOC90 Line Output Converter to run an amp and sub. Also, installed component Focal speakers in the front and rear doors, and Dynamated the inside all of the doors. Iβll be installing a DSP in the future so i can run the door speakers off my amp once companies start making plug and play adapters.
Could you send me a link! Looks great.Installed auto start/stop eliminator for my 302. Love it.
I had two sets of the Focal PS165F from a previous build and I would recommend Focal to anyone whoβs looking for great audio. They have a range of speakers to fit anyoneβs budget. I personally love the sound of their Performance Flax series.how do the Focal's sound?
Fishing line makes it much easier to remove than a plastic scraper tool. Cleaner tooTook that pesky dealership insignia sticker off of the tailgate. Was a little afraid I would damage the clear coat or paint, but it came off beautifully!
For those who want to do the same, but have the same concerns, here is how I managed it.
1. Use a handheld laundry steamer to heat up the area. It will begin to loosen or break down the adhesive. (My truck was sitting it the sun all day too so that probably helped. Iβve also read a hairdryer will work too). I did like how the moisture from the steamer reduced the friction when I was in the process of pulling it off.
Run the steamer over the area for about 30 seconds.
2. Once the area is nice and warmed up, I used a CLEAN plastic putty knife/scraper. I placed the scraper under the edge of the βYβ because it seemed like the easiest edge to start the lift.
3. Slowly slide the scraper along underneath the badge/sticker. I did so WHILE using the steamer at the same time. Keep going slow and steady until the whole thing is off the truck.
4. The hardest part was removing ALL of the leftover adhesive and gunk. I did so by using some of the Chemical Guys Trim Clean. It worked, but it was tedious as it took a while to work the adhesive off the paint.
5. Once youβre satisfied all the leftover debris is removed, hit It was a heavy coat of your favorite wax to seal the area. Top work! Job done!
Man, I wish I would have thought of that! I can see that being much less of a risk to the paint than a scraper. Good idea.Fishing line makes it much easier to remove than a plastic scraper tool. Cleaner too
