Changed rear diff oil and replaced rear diff cover to make things easier next time. Went with the Spicer cover and a Lubelocker gasket. Went ahead and changed the TC case fluid as well. Was going to change front diff oil too but decided to wait till next oil change as I was tired of laying on the concrete πŸ˜†

Changing the front diff oil is a bit of a task if you plan on removing the cover

Not planning on removing the cover, there is too much in the way. I’m just go to pump the old oil out through the fill plug hole and then put new in. I know there is no way to get it all out but this way will work just fine.

Today, I gave my F-150 a little TLC. I replaced the air filter, checked the tire pressure, and cleaned out the bed liner. It’s running smoother now, and I’m ready for my next weekend trip!

Truck development over the last 3 years. I put 1.5” motofab leveling kit ( I did 2” on my β€˜19 and at times it looked like rear was saging so I went with 1.5 but I’d probly go to 2 inch again if I were to do it over) I put Toyo AT3 on initially p rated to keep weight close to stock and they were decent and a lot Quieter than the duratrac I had on my β€˜19 but after 65,000km they are worn down to 6/32nd and won’t be as good as I’d like for upcoming winter and muddy fields during hunting and fishing seasons this fall so I just put on the new duratrac RT only because I got a dealer price on them and I like the look of the new duratracs and overall they are better in mud and snow than the Toyos were. Time will tell to see if they get as loud as the old ones did.

Pictures of stock then level +toyo , now level and duratrac RT

I brought my truck home, she went in for some exterior upgrades. New bumpers to get rid of the chrome, added flares and tremor headlights to match the tremor hood since I had platinums before.

Installed a TIMBREN SES set. Wanted a bit of extra support for a trip to Minnesota to pick up a car. Will be using a u-haul trailer, they weigh a crapload.

I installed without the puck, I have noticed on some rather large bumps and dips onto lane back roads that they will contact. When they do, there is a good bit of rebound bounce. It gets your attention, but it’s not exceptionally harsh.

I am pretty sure that these will be removed once this 1200 mile trip is done. Install time was about 20 minutes with the rear tires off.

Installed the Tackform magnetic phone mount. I've been using the a magnetic mount that slides over a vent fin for years, but it doesn't work as well in the F150.

It'll take a while to get used to the phone being several inches closer. I'll need to hit some decent bumps to determine how well the magnet works, but for the price, it's seems great so far.

It's not what I did to it but what it did for me.
