It is based on recent events that took place in Israel. This is not a pro/against gun discussion, or political in any way.
Here's a scenario: You are driving down the street and notice a threat in front of you, Let's say someone is aiming a weapon at you. You can't stop and back up. Your only option to neutralize the threat is to run him (or her...) over with your vehicle. Run the person down, knock him down, hit him with the vehicle, etc. Anything that will disable the perpetrator's ability to shoot at you.
My question is - will hitting a person or run him over deploy the airbag? Does it depend on which part of the vehicle hit that person?
Now - if the airbags are deployed, does it disable the vehicle? Because if so, this "self defense" method may work against you. I am not familiar with deployed airbags, luckily I never experienced that.
