I have a 6.7L F250 now and get from 12-19MPG with overall avg. of 16MPG. Hoping to improve 5+ MPG on new 3.0L. Could current or past owners give me some input? Also, does anyone use Standyne, AvOx or any other additive and will that help MPG? My ordered truck is coming with 3.31 axle ratio also.

I currently drive a 3.0 diesel 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It has a 5 speed + 3.73. At 60MPH, the engine is turning @ 2K RPM, and I can get 29 MPG. I must add that it's been re-tuned (the original tuning from Chrysler was - umm - crappy).

If you can't get 30MPG with the new Powerstroke 3.0 + 10 spd + 3.31, you're probably puling a trailer or fighting a terrific headwind.

Oh yeah - the only "additive" I use is a little biofuel. I run B20. Ford says B20 is approved for the 3.0

I had a 2018 for 27k miles and would regularly average 25-28mpg per tank, but my commute is 50 miles each way of 99% highway. Would get over 18mpg towing a 5500lb open car trailer on highway trips as well. My new 3.5 is lucky to get 20mpg in the same driving conditions, and haven't towed with it yet.

I have had my 3.0 diesel Lariat for about 3 weeks now ,and I have a 3:55 rear end gearing. Been driving it like a old man to see what is the best
average fuel mileage I can get. The best at this time is 24.9 mileage per gallon and not that much drop when I'm towing something.

Keep in mind diesel engines can take a long time to break in. For my 2009 TDI, it was 15,000 miles before it achieved it's best MPG.

First tank off the lot got me 24 mpg in an XL Supercab 3.0 DIESEL 4X4 (3:31 RE). Hoping break-in period will improve that number as some have suggested. BTW, warning to empty had just turned on and I topped it off with 25.43 gal. ($2.88/)

i received my F150 power Stroke about month ago. I drove it on 1200 mile trip to iowa and got 29.9 mpg on stock tires! i took pics to prove it....crazy great fuel mileage. Since that trip, i leveled front end and put larger tires (35s) and reprogramed the speedo and still get 23 mpg. I loaded up my Lariat with FX4 package and pretty much every box. It is very nice truck. I have had some issues with the front shutters for fuel economy, they have stopped working and dealer cant get new unit till end of July, so the check engine light stays on. Also, my SYNC and bluetooth hardly work. It says unstable connection constantly and will quick my phone off after about 15 minutes.

Nice mileage!! I’m about same with similar setup. Leveled and 34 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and total average MPG 22.5 after 1750 miles. Mine is an FX4 Platinum loaded with Leer HF 650 tonneau. No truck issues so far. Hope you get issues taken care of. Loving the truck.

I picked up my fully loaded Platinum today from a dealer in Iowa. This is my preliminary results on mostly flat roads.
