Found this in the rear passenger seat of the truck floating around…. It’s a hard rubber- but don’t see any similar fittings anywhere else in the truck:

It appears to be a rubber isolator. I would be looking to see if there is an interface of where the seat bottom "sits" on the seat bracketry. Its possible one wasn't properly secured at the factory or something you tossed under the seat dislodged it. If that were the correct application, I would suspect there to be a couple more to reference, but I could completely be wrong.

Hrmm there was something like that in my back floorboard. I guess I need to get the light and go searching around now.

Yeah- that’s what I thought too- but I can’t find any other examples- I do have the rear seat storage and was positive it was related to that- but I can’t find anything else like it.

No big deal- just seems odd I can’t find where it came from. Not a lot of options for its placement I don’t think.

Doors? Sometimes there are pads like this when a hood or door closes to reduce contact. Honestly I havent looked to see if our doors have them.

It's hard to tell the size, but if it's small (3/4" ish) it could be the rear door bumper. I have a supercab, so they may be different on a four door, but mine came off during a wipe down after a car wash.

Yeah- was looking there last nigh, but none are missing- and they are slightly different shaped from this one. Not from the door/door jam either.

Tried using Google Lens. Not much luck, but it did find an exact match. That's promising.

Maybe you moved something and put it in the backseat 🤷‍♂️

Yes, that’s looking more and more likely- thanks for the help!

My guess...
The isolator idea is about right. The assembly guy places the narrow end in the hole, then bangs the large round bottom with a hammer to install it. But this one, escaped before he could do that, so he just grabbed another from his box and installed that instead.
