Can anyone recommend a website that gives information on offroad trails. I don't have a lifted truck or Tremor. I'm looking for trails that I can take and camp with a basic 4x4 F-150.

Ideal if the website ranked for difficulty and said if there is good camping and whether you can trailer on the roads.

I did find Trailsoffroad.com. Looks decent. Wondering if there others. Free or paid.

I have used the US Forest Service maps for each national forest. Their maps have all the roads and most of them are dirt and not paved. You can order them online and get them within a week. Far better than when they only sold them at the national forest offices with their limited hours.

Gaia has been my go to app. All the layers makes finding trails and campsites somewhat easy. Also a fan that it shows private land. But it does still take some research to find areas.

gaia is nice. On x is also very nice. We used gaia to navigate up and down Baja a few years ago and to record tracks throughout az. onx is a step above what gaia did but we i have less experience using it.

Planning and navigation will become crucial and take some effort.
Onx and Gaia , etc for planning
Gaia for navigating.
Example, great offroad route into Death Valley:
Goler canyon and Mengle pass.
OnX good trail info

Create routes, waypoints, campsites, alt routes, etc in Gaia.
Save, folder and share with group.
Everyone download map for offline use or you cant come with us:

Then Gaia works with Android auto (and apple sh!t) on our F150 big screen TV's so you can read and navigate on the trail. OnX does not, have to use your phone/tablet which works ok, hence some people use tablet mounts.
