Use ProPower without starting the vehicle

Can I use the propower without first getting into the vehicle and starting it up? I'm aware that the pro power ultimately need to eventually turn on the vehicle to recharge the battery in order to continue the power draw --> but even if I start the vehicle up from my key fob (or the FordPass app), I still can't use the ProPower. I HAVE to start the vehicle from the driver's seat.

Anyone else have a different experience?

Also - the vehicle manual doesn't give a great explanation on using the propower - is there a concise guide anywhere?

I am looking for the same information. I have questions like: can I get the truck to “look off” (no dash or sync screen activity) while using Pro Power? Stuff like that.
