I ordered a '24 Lariat on Oct 11th -- got my "we'll update you again in 45 days email" from Ford today. Nothing scheduled yet.

Got my 45 day "supply chain issues" email. Chip at Granger is convinced that except for a very limited run, they will push most current order KR and Platinums to wait for the tailgates.

Yep! Got the same email. My local dealer said since I ordered the top package my truck will most likely be a Job 2 so they'll have the new tailgate.

According to Long McArthur Ford in Kansas. The website says late availability for those tailgates. Late availability in their experience usually means summer or early fall.

At this point it's just a wait and see how Ford decides to build em.

I ordered a Lariat Powerboost 501A w/ BAP on 9/22 and still don’t have a build date or VIN. I’ve seen other Lariats ordered after mine with scheduled build dates In December and January. Wonder if some part with the BAP is on back order?

Could also be that your dealer doesn't have any allocations and then your priority code.

Allocations work similar to the NFL draft. If your dealer has an allocation then the retail order with the highest priority gets picked.

As far as I know...according to Long McArthur Ford there are no current constraints or limitations

As of last week there were about 3900 unscheduled retail orders. I Thinl this week they are scheduling for middle of Feb.

Oddly enough, the dealer let me know this morning that I now have a VIN and scheduled build date the week of 1/29. Guess that’s not too far out now….

Placed my order on October 8th. Just got my Vin # and scheduled build of January 15th.

'24 Platinum 702A, 157" base.

I had to bug the dealer after I got the 45 day "hey wait another 45 days" email. Ford is apparently a little slow to send notifications out.

Interesting. Glad you got your VIN. Bugged my dealer after getting my first 45 day email. They told me because I ordered the top package (Platinum with 703A) mine will most likely be a job 2 build. My gut tells me I'll be seeing stock inventory all over before I get my VIN.

XLT 2WD, SCREW, short box, 5.0, tow package ordered 9/28/23. Checked with dealer today. Got vin# and have a build date week of 1/22/24. According to vin# looks like a Kansas City build.
