Ordered 7/21 and just got a surprising text from my salesman this morning:

I had been checking with Ford performance every week since placing the order (except this past one, kinda gave up) and never had a VIN or build week.

I guess it’s possible to be scheduled before the latest posted build weeks?

trackers still say order processing with no build week

I swear I ordered from the worlds most brainless dealer

I said
“Any idea what the hold up is? Is it a certain option I picked?

Everyone I know that ordered at same time as me already have a truck. People that ordered in July have a vin and a build date.“

this is what I get back.
“The hold-up is due to the shortage of Micro Chip. I was discussing this with my manager and we both assume that your truck will be a 2022 model year.”

this is honestly the most frustrating process

Ordered 06/08, unscheduled clean. F-150 Limited 4X2, work area and lie-flat seats, Antimatter Blue. Priority Code 10. It sucks to be me, I guess.

Update - got the call that I have a VIN with a tentative build week of 10/11/21 . . . .

As other have said, "I'll believe it when I see it", or in other words YMMV . . . . .

F150 scheduling has been CANCELLED for this Thursday, August 26thst.

This suck, I have only been waiting a month since I ordered mine with no VIN but was hoping maybe this would be the week.
