This coming weekend I shall begin a two year trip around America in my 2021 KR 3.5EB, and I intend to document that here. As a remote worker I am not bound to any one location, so I am going to use that flexibility to visit a variety of points of interest. First though, I'm headed to Florida to escape the winter! To that end I've bought a toy hauler and equipped it with solar and starlink. Just got done weighing in with my proposed full weight; came in right on the money.
Failed to weigh the truck prior to the lift/wheels/tires however it weighed 6,260 after. With the trailer fully loaded, I managed to hit 7100 truck weight on a GVWR of 7050 with a tongue weight of 785 (measured using a weigh safe hitch.) Front axle is over by 20lbs while the rear axle has hundreds of pounds to spare. Trailer weighed 6420; 13,520 combined. Trailer GVWR is 7500.
Had a guy out of California build a motorcycle rack that works off the D-rings in the floor of the trailer; real nice piece. Got that from beastracks.com. Guy's name is Richard and you can call him with measurements and he'll tailor weld one to your situation and he'll get it out to you quickly.
My trailer is an "off-road" model with a lift and mud terrains which made the entry ramp particularly steep so I bought an aluminum ramp from that website.
Have 1600 watts of solar panels and the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3 that has 4000 watts of storage. In testing, estimate my daily power usage (laptop, monitor, hungry Starlink satellite, 2 cups coffee) at 2,500 watts, so should be good even with a modest 2 hours of sun each day.
Superlift 6" lift kit, 22x10" -24 offset American Forces wrapped in metric LT325/50/22 (35x13.50) Nitto recon grapplers, ReadyLift air springs, weigh safe middleweight weight distribution hitch with 8500 bars and a 6" drop. Starting mileage is 35,120.
