Do you have the serial numbers of the drive shafts that are a problem? Seems simple enough to check ourselves.

I have a 3.5 max tow in the date range. I went to the Ford site, put in my VIN and this comes up as a “Field Service Action” and not a safety recall. Seems like FSA is optional since it doesn’t involve a safety issue.

my concern is we have a 2 week trip coming up in a few weeks. Pulling a camper through the Rockies. Drive shaft staying attached seems kind of important. Maybe not from a safety perspective but certainly from a potential to ruin our vacation perspective while getting towed and waiting for parts.

but, maybe this is one of those slim chance it’s wrong things.

No serial numbers, just build dates as mentioned in the video. It seems it only effects ecoboost and powerboost models. My 5.0 at this point didn't make the cut.

I haven't seen anything yet (and a VIN search on the Ford.com website doesn't show anything either). My build date falls into this range so perhaps it's VIN-specific?

Same here. Only FSA listed on the Ford site for my VIN is just the Instrument Panel Cluster one.

Mine lists the driveshaft, but isn't a recall either. I have not received a notification within ford pass.

So he says 2 piece driveshaft, my truck fall within the parameters of build date, assembly plant and max tow but it’s only a one piece shaft. Also mine is the short wheelbase crew cab.

Hopefully I dodged this one for now. Close though, mine out of Claycomo 3/12....

Still waiting to see if I’m going to be affected by this TSB issued by Ford on 5/29 ?
