Transmission not in park message

5/14 - I start getting 'transmission not in park' notification randomly
5/17 - I get check engine light (error code - U0103 Lost communication with gear shift control module A)
5/18 - Drop off the truck at Autonation Bellevue
FF
5/24 - I get a call saying truck is ready
5/25 - 'transmission not in park' notification is back
5/26 - check engine light is back on and same error code

think the dealership did anything or just cleared the code ? Also has anyone here experienced this issue ?

1. transmission not in park
2. hill assist not available
3. android auto craps out for 3-5secs with loud static (90% happens when the rear camera turns on)
4. unable to leave the key inside the truck and lock it

We cannot leave the key inside the car and lock it. It is the same for almost all vehicles with key fobs nowadays

Nope I have left keys inside my truck and locked it multiple times. This one is new to me.
