Having same issue, my 2016 had it as well but not nearly as persistent. Any luck with solution? would love to just turn it off, I know my trailer(s) lights are working I don't need the handholding by my truck especially with how unreliable it is with the false negatives.

Sometimes the impedance of a working bulb will be off enough to trip a code. Try swapping bulbs and if that doesn’t work, it could be a wiring issue.

If your trailer has LED lights, you'll just need to add a resistor to whichever light is giving you the error.
