🧭 Track Your F-150 Order by VIN Number

Well if you ask @currybob he might tell you 4-6 weeks lol. However it should be within a week or 2 (according to my dealer) at the latest during normal manufacturing. Because of COVID that has messed things up a bit. Mine is getting built and both my salesman and his boss have said they had 2-2021 F-150's get produced and arrived at the dealer in 22 and 26 days (after production) respectively. As far as the tracker goes, I don't think it gets updated as quick as it should. Yours might even be on its way already, who knows!

Using the tracker...I'm trying to reconcile the dates that the dealer gave to me. My VIN# 1FTFW1CD4MFA98482. The tracker has no build date...but the dealer shared a screenshot with me. See attached. Salesman said that my order was picked up last week...but my order has constraints on Curry Bob's report from last week. The tracker site suggests my order was actually picked up the week before where there were no constraints (makes more sense). So not sure I'm getting the timely info from the dealer.

With all that said is the build date on the screenshot shared legit? If so why not on the tracker site?

The dealer has more insight.the tool won’t update until it’s built probably, your commodities are reserved and your truck will be built as scheduled. No need to worry. The customer facing tracker aims to under promise.

Dealer choice is a huge thing. Allocations and a little bit of build options is all I can say.

i have purchased a new truck every year since I was 17 years old 45 of em to be exact. Early on I would order all of them and never did they take more than 8 weeks. This has changed for the worst in recent years and that’s why I quit ordering and just got one off the lot I liked. I still can’t figure out why I decided to order this one.

My dealer called today and said mine is scheduled to be delivered to the dealership the first week of February, keeping my fingers crossed.

FWIW, my fully loaded platinum w/fx4, max tow, 7.2kw propower, moonroof, worksurface, 701a high, spray in liner which i placed an order for on 9/17, was just picked and assigned a vin. Shows in production, but no production/ship date yet, but smells like progress!

I just put my VIN in (just got it today) and I'm not seeing the fold flat seats listed, unless it's just the Active Motion seating. Hope my dealer didn't forget to put that in
