For those that have bought new wheels what was the cost to harvest the original tpms sensors in your old wheels?
Contemplating just buying a new set of sensors for the new wheels if the cost is comparable.

Regardless of cost, I always buy new OEM TPMS valves if I purchase new wheels. A lot of times, at least one of the removed valves will get damaged during removal and need to be replaced.

My experience is that the sensors are designed to last a least 5 years, but beyond that is a gamble.

I make it a habit to get all new sensors with new tires.

the first time I re-used old sensors, 3 died within 4 months of the re-mount, and I had to pay to get new ones installed. Not worth it.
