Towing Newb!! Just got my 21 Lariat

I know there is some sort of huge towing excel spreadsheet - but so new to this all it's overwhelming.

I have the 2.7 with 3.55, 18 Rims, Tow Tech Package, Intelligent Integrated Brake Controller and the 36 Gallon Ext. Fuel Tank. 5.5 Bed 4x4

GVWR: 6600
FRONT GVWR: 3525
REAR GVWR: 3400

Thanks! Was that max tow or regular tow? Sometimes they do regular tow and add 36gal tank separately for some reason... And is it 4x4, FX4 or 4x2?

For the towing info post your window sticker and the little yellow payload sticker on the driver doorjam.

There are still some questions as far as what the truck rates to without a tow package. Previous gen you would of been limited to 5000 pounds as long as you didn’t exceed you 1400 pound payload.

well the GVWR is already 6600. but talking to sales person at a dealership they start off towing around 7700 lbs and go up from there. So doesn't make sense.

GVWR is the total weight of the truck loaded to capacity.

You are a bit confused or unclear on:

GCVWR will be the weight number of both truck and trailer.

Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating = truck and trailer loaded to capacity

There is no single number. Lots of numbers you have to stay under. GCWR,GVWR,GAWR, and hitch weight are the main ones. Need to understand each of those values for you individual load you are asking for the truck. It may be you can pull a 9k hay wagon, or a 3k travel trailer if you don’t have anyone in the trucks. If you put 4 adults in the truck you might be limited to a yard cart all just depends on your individual truck.

3 people 400lbs- I dont know what Camper I want, cause I dont know how much this truck can tow!
