Tow Mirror Skull Cap Replacement

I guess the next question is if they are the same form factor and can be swapped out. I think these are the right parts if someone can also confirm. Here's the parts for the black cap versus the chrome cap, but no pictures of the chrome cap.

This must be a hot item. I checked availability with my dealer early Jan and online and price was $25 for the black each with plenty in stock. They are now over $40 and my dealer can't seem to find them....

Were you able to find any black caps from other channels? I checked with my dealer and they said they couldn't order the caps standalone....seems unlikely to me given they are on the ford site. My truck is held up in chip hold but am hoping to have these on the shelf ready to go when it does arrive.

I have the black caps on my XLT and would be willing to swap for chrome (I have the chrome package). My truck has less than 1000 miles on it. In Maryland- if a local swap is possible!

So is there anywhere you can order tow mirror covers that match the truck body? I see the black textured ones on the parts website:

Right Side (textured F150)
Left Side (textured F150)

and then they have the ones that need to be painted:

Right Side (Primed Super Duty)
Left Side (Primed Super Duty)

That old link to the pre painted ones doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm hoping to find some star white metallic ones.

I was wondering if the gloss black ones from the Black Appearance Package can be ordered? I don't see them on the parts site.

Will the previous generation tow mirror caps fit on the new generation? Is there a difference other then the part numbers? Thank you in advance.
