This. What is the number 1 selling vehicle in North America? How long has it been the number one selling vehicle in North America. Yet home builders still don't build garages to accommodate it or any fullsize pickup. Why?
I don't get it....

I not a hardcore Ford fan. I've also owned Buick, Nissan, and Jeep vehicles and I just find the best option for my needs at the time. Ford was the only full size truck I could find that would fit in my garage. I would probably have gone with Ford anyways but the others were all about 5 inches longer. I had to go with short bed.

I had my house semi-custom built. I had a huge list of things to add/change but somehow forgot garage. I would have definitely paid extra for a few more feet on my garage.

I custom designed and built my home, garage is 26 w and 28 deep and used to park vehicles in, not storage.

I acted as builder on mine. I did an "L" shape 3+ car garage. Daily drivers go in the 18' door and the 8' door single bay side has a 4 post lift. The summer car goes up for the winter and stays down for summer.

Our neighborhood was built with carports, but it looks like someone came through to offer "garage conversions" in the late 60s. So we did get one closed up into a "garage," but not stuccoed to match, flat wood paneling on the side wall, and can fit a VW Beetle. Driveway isn't even long enough to not block the sidewalk with my 157.

Some still have carports, including the crazy-priced homes that sold over the past year or two.

I have a broken brick on my carport steps. My maternal grandmother was learning to dive a Henry J, Yup Henry J with a three on the tree back in 1965. The F150 is high e

F150 is high enough to hide brick!

I would like to have gotten the 6.5' bed but knew it definitely wouldn't fit. Now to find something to protect the front wall of my garage.
I would probably get some rubber floor mat pads. Maybe some PPF for the bumper :)

Doesn't your Platinum have a front cam to let you pull within 1/4" of a wall without contact?

Yes. I think it is supposed to but that hasn’t been confirmed because of the removals. I was told that the removal of active parking also changed the cameras/sensors.

Ah, the damned forced removals conundrum

I wasn't a victim so thoughtlessly forget about that factor, I sincerely wish you best of luck on that front.
