I could not find this anywhere and am afraid of stripping that Aluminum oil pan. Can someone point me to the correct torque for the drain bolt?

Tight enough that it doesn't leak? I dunno not trying to be a dick but don't hit it with an impact and I imagine you will be fine. I can't imagine the dealer is using a torque wrench. Just snug it up tight.

I think the bigger concern would be cross threading the drain plug which I would guess is steel into the aluminum threads.

I come from Mercedes where we torqued everything to spec. I just use elbow tight and no problems or leaks the last 7 oil changes.. We had a washer on my mercedes and depending on the washer, the torque changed. I got tired of being a perfectionist on something like an oil drain plug.

Don't know what the spec is... but that bolt has a rubber insert in it. So you don't want to crush that. Tighten up good & snug, check for leakage, if none you're done...

It's a 15,000 page searchable and indexed PDF that's associated with your VIN and Oasis information. Really well done.

Just Google F150 Factory Service Manual

Hint: factory-manual :)

Worth every penny

Is it the CD or paper and can you send a link?
Yea, I got the one mentioned above. https://www.factory-manuals.com. You send your vin and they build a manual for you, and then send you a link to download (pdf). I keep a copy on my home computer, and one on my phone. You don’t have to get the wiring diagrams, but I always do. I’ve had them for my last 3 trucks. I love the forum, but sometimes the info on here is really wrong, lol.

Yea, that service manual has cleared up more than a couple of myths that get started unwittingly on the interweb. :)

I believe the spec calls for like 20 ft lbs or something. Nothing crazy at all. Basically nice and snug with a little extra after it’s snug.

This is where a short 3/8" or stubby ratchet wrench is a good choice as it is more difficult to over tighten small bolts where there is a lot less leverage. Loc-tite blue is also good as there is less dependence on the torque to keep a fastener in place.
