after a long wait and getting down to the wire on when I needed it for vacation the Leer 100XR arrived and is installed. 2 days before vacation.

I’m liking it so far but need to get used to the lack of visibility out the back.

Any chance you can share a pic of how the tailgate and rear hatch interface?

I’m on vacation at the moment but i’ll try to snap a pic soon. If you are wondering if the tailgate can be opened with the hatch closed the answer is no. The lower portion of the hatch overlays the top of the tailgate and wraps down the back a bit.

Does it cover up the bed camera, if you’ve got one? I’m assuming it does.

there is a camera in the third brake light at the top of the truck. The cap will cover it entirely. Never had a camera there that I was aware of on previous trucks.

its A bummer that it covers it up but honestly, the only time I turned it on was to check and see if there was anything in the truck bed before I went through the car wash. Would have been cool if they put a little window in the fiberglass but I can see why they didnt. too much trouble for what it’s worth.

I'm contemplating ordering this XR100 and have the 360 cam package and need to make use of a backup cam as well.

show the bed contents. Doesn’t do anything for backing up unless you turned it on and even then I’m not sure if it would stay on as I never tried. Backup camera still works fine as it’s on the top of the tailgate and all the 360 cams work fine for parking.

CANCELLED the order yesterday

. It wasn’t even built yet. Leaving in the morning for MA.

Will place an order for ARE when I arrive. Stuck with a BakX4S for now.

I held off ordering in hopes the Leer 180 becomes available by the time my truck gets a chip. Got the truck now and was told no 180's in the near future. So , i ordered a 100 R and was told 8 weeks. He hopes....

Here it is from the back. It is the V series. It was only model available when I ordered and I could not wait any longer. It will work fine and the other stuff dry and not so dusty when camping.

Nice color match. Which white is that? I'm considering something similar for my star white tri-coat King Ranch.
