What do you guys think of the dead pedal option? I'm considering buying a new F-150 or Ram 1500, and I was wondering what your thoughts are on the dead pedal. Do you like it? Does it matter?
I had em in my 325is, and got great dealer installed OEM drilled aluminum pedal set in my Mazda 3 ST that included a dead pedal.I never used clutch cover cuz I got paddle shifters. woot
They are great for autocross, drift night, track days if you dont have a race seat with enough lateral support.
push down with left foot pushes you back in seat keeps you from slopping around..
Not sure we can pull 3 lateral G's in a F150 without Roush Nitemare option. drool
I may do some 1/8 mile runs but dont need then for that.
Other wise they can look nice and give a nice place to rest you left foot.
Pedals are great/must have for heel and toe shifting, but with paddle shifters they just can improve pedal feel and grip. If you wear Sparco, Alinestars or Piloti with thin soles you can feel em.
Prob good for Baja 1000, but need alot more mods before pedal set for that .. Ha ha...
Let us know if you find some good sets, like Raptor etc
Damn now I want a full set for my 5.0...LOL
Lets ask Sheldon Creed and Halie Deegan what they use.
