Changed the cabin filter today for the first time. First pic is original part for reference. Interesting color on the back of the new one. Thicker pleats but much fewer compared to 39 OEM.

I use this filter too. So far, so good. I'm anal about that stuff. I change it every 6-12 months.

I didn’t like the wiring module that came with it for 2 reasons. One, it required splicing into both tail lamps. Secondly, call me old school, but I don’t like it when third brake lamps blink, turn signals or one headlight goes off on cars for a turn signal. So I decided to wire into the factory lead under the hood. I used matching wire in 18 gauge with conduit to run to the rear of the truck following one of the wiring harnesses taped in orange. I then grounded it to the frame by the bumper at the ground spot. I use marine butt cramps, Tessa, tape, and zip ties. I also am changing the connector to the topper over to a Deutsch connector.

Finished the topper wiring using the Deutsch connector and hand tools I had. Now it’s a solid waterproof connector instead of a flimsy loose one.

I had some automotive weatherstripping sitting on the shelf so I thought I’d use it for a tailgate gasket. So far so good.

If anything I’m having trouble with where the topper gasket hits the tailgate. Anyone with a smartcap have any tips?

Here’s the one week data log….

I have the same battery monitor. Over 4.75 days, my battery dropped from 12.66 volts to 12.38 volts or a little less than 0.3 volts. Yours seems to drop at a much faster rate, but it doesn't look bad. I can't seem to find how to show a 7 day graph in the app or I would post mine. I do have an H7 battery and a larger aux battery.

Looking great! How much room do you have from the top of the drawer system to the ceiling of the SmartCap?
Seems like it was around 31"

It seems like one of the updates earlier this year has pretty much fixed all the gremlins.
