Terrible ride quality on lariat with max tow

I traded my 2020 F250 for this 2021 F150 with the goal of easier parking in the city and a smoother ride… couldn’t be more disappointed. My F150 rides super rough, gas peddle vibrates and the steering wheel feels loose. I added the fox 2.0 leveling kit and new tires hoping that would fix the issue and it did not. Is this normal? Any suggestions on what could be causing these issues?

Oh for sure… not expecting a luxury sedan ride but I’ve been driving Ford trucks for the last 10 years and this is by far the worst riding truck I’ve owned yet. As we all know the dealerships go to line is “it’s within spec” so I figured I’d see if anyone had a similar issue/fix

I sold a 2018 F250 6.2 to get a 21 Lariat Max Tow. If I had taken the time to research the 150 before the 250 I would have never bought the 250. In my opinion this 150 rides most luxuriously compared to the 250 and my wife doesn’t have to wear a sport’s bra for a ride in it. Difference of perception I suppose.

Trade it in on something that you think rides good……I guarantee you can get all of your money back except taxes.(unless you paid over MSRP)
I absolutely love the ride on mine.

Max tow has another rear leaf-spring (total of 3), so the ride will be stiffer. It feels a lot smoother with something being towed back there.

My ‘21 XLT PB with max tow rides great as well, aside from occasional weird shudder/vibrations when it switches from gas to electric, which I suppose (fingers crossed) it’s normal.

Have had my 2021 Lariat SC PB with max tow for a week. I am astonished with the smooth quiet ride. I am coming from a 2010 Ford Explorer Sportrac. This SC PB with max tow is worlds ahead of the Sportrac in ride quality. I am very happy and impressed.

Mine is the smoothest-riding truck I've ever owned (I have the SC 5.5' bed, FX4, Max Tow). My steering is good and responsive.

Regarding the vibration in the gas pedal - I think what I feel is the electric machine switching from motor to generator mode. Sometimes it's hardly noticable, sometimes it's very obvious. AFAIK this is the first time the hybrid-drive has been installed in the transmission of a truck, so who really knows if this is considered normal? Either way it doesn't bother me.

A buddy of mine drove my new Lariat today and said that it was the smoothest riding truck that he had ever been in. Must be something wrong with your truck if it has a rough ride.

Id say you have an issue too if its that bad. My new Lariat rides excellent. Much better than a Super Duty. I have the max tow too. It rides much better than my old 14 with Fox suspension front and rear too.

Dunno, mine has Max Tow and I think it rides pretty well. And this is my first truck. I’ve had SUVs, sports cars, and luxury cars and the F-150 does well for what it is.

Now if your 250 was a diesel then we could be talking apples and oranges with the extra weight of the Diesel engine.
