Tailgate lock

I'm planning to put a double tray bike rack on a F150 Platinum with a powered tailgate. When not in use the bike rack folds up. My concern is if I accidentally hit the tailgate open button, the power tailgate might open into the folded rack causing damage to either the rack or the tailgate.

Is there a way to lock the tailgate so that you can't accidentally open it into a bike rack?

Somewhere in the menu there is a way to set the tailgate to manual which (I think) only allows operation from the tailgate button not inside or the fob.
