Tail Light Manufacturing Defect?

While bending down to pick something up off my driveway last week, I noticed some questionable manufacturing on the front edge of my tail light. Same on both sides of the truck. I assume everybody's tails look the same, but I haven't seen it mentioned on the forum. I know this is nitpicking and really doesn't bother me as much as some of the other imperfections I've found, but I'm curious.

Could also just be glue at the seam...

Used to be a Quality Engineer for the other guys, practically guarantee you there is no spec covering what you see, therefore no one at the assembly plant is going to reject those parts from their supplier.
