Been seeking some consistency with the infotainment center on this truck since purchase. Started out with a oneplus AA phone and an up to date sync4 12" infotainment setup. Results were pretty terrible with dropped bluetooth and wired connection to the truck. The visual experience with navigation and full screen was exceptional when it was running correctly, but would drop gps and connection too many times that it became distracting and dangerous to use and depend on. Maybe it was the 3-4 year old phone? So made the jump to an Iphone 15pro. Connections, audio quality, and gps tracking have all been acceptable. The visual navigation experience with Carplay is a big downgrade vs AA with Sync4 heads up! There is satellite view, but it's less 3d/perspective, and apple maps is just not there. Here comes the catch...Carplay will black screen 1-2 cards of the infotainment display 25-50% on start/restarts? Full screen Carplay to tiled has some affect on maps remaximizing correctly, rebooting the infotainment fixes it 50% of the time, reinstalling google maps fixes it 100% of the time as well as a phone restart. What am I doing wrong?

Yes it sucks. I have an Android andservice through AT&T. There are significant dead spots, even near a major intersection of 2 busy interstated here.
