I know this is about reflector head lights but would one know if you need one or two headlight control module (hmc)
Based on the pic it appears there is only one, the items circled in green (PN: ML34-13C148-AE) is the HCM

Its possible but you loose the auto leveling.
Is it possible to tell if my truck has those sensors already? anything I can dive into to figure it out? I have a 501A Lariat that I am hoping to more or less turn into a 502A

Maybe I'm missing something, but why can't we just replaced the halogen bulb with an LED bulb? Instantly brighter and costs about $40-$50.

When I had the Chevy Colorado ZR2, that's what I did. A little control module behind each LED that was tucked away and I had much brighter lights.

Well this entire thread is about swapping LED reflector headlamps to LED projector, so halogens don't really come into play here

Has anyone done this and added the HCM? I am trying to figure out the as-builts that need to be written on the HCM

When you say and / or scales does that mean a 302a with Scales and Smart Hitch may have auto leveling lights?

If you have on board scales you may have the height sensors. If you have the ccd suspension also you have the height sensors.

Look to see if you have these in front and rear

I do have OnBoard Scales and SmartHitch. Is there a way to tell by looking at the headlights if they are self leveling? I am asking as I might do a 2" level and am thinking if I have auto leveling headlights, I shouldn't need to re aim them once the level is done.

If its the head lights in the picture those are not. They are the base LED headlights not the Upgraded ones

Yes, I just have 302a w/ base LED not 502a. I didn't think I had self levelling headlights but, the comment about the OnBoard scales made me think maybe I did since I have on Board scales.
