Successfully updated 2021 F-150 LARIAT EB to BlueCruise 1.4 without FDRS

A little over a month ago on a thread about BLUECRUISE 1.4 was updated on some of the 22-23 by OTA and or FDRS and FORScan I inquired. Wanted to know if the 21's would ever get the OTA. The response was yes but probably late this year. I was still on 1.0

RUGEDRAW...Javier, said send me your VIN. After running it, he said my truck has the Module's already updated to make it work with FORScan only. He sent me the list of changes 2 APIM and 2 IPMA. So, I needed to get FORScan and get familiar with it. I was nervous I would mess something up. Got the 2-month license and the obdlink & was off. After doing about 9 changes I decided it was time to try BC 1.4

Yesterday It only took me about 20 min in FORScan to follow the steps to made on the modules and update the modules. After I checked for DTC faults and had zero. Took the truck out last night and successfully have BC 1.4
I wish there was a way to see it show the version on SYNC but there is not. The way I knew I was successful was by tapping the blinker and it would change lanes hands free. Went about 10 miles on the highway. I love it. Much improved, lane centering was way better. Every action was so much smoother.

Just want to thank RUGEDRAW for your help with BC and FORScan. Also, to so many others like Livnitup for all his FORScan info page. And so many others who respond to our post and give us answers and advice. This forum is truly an amazing bunch of guys.

Do you mind sharing what the 2 APIM and 2 IPMA changes were. I have a 2024 PB with BC and I call FordPass support and they said I'm still on 1.2 and could not tell me when 1.4 would be pushed to me OTA.

Hi Meterman. Since they have not been made public yet, and myself and others have received privately it’s not my place to put out there. But if you send rugedraw your vin he can let you know if it will work for you!!!
