Living by beach with dogs make me think vinyl flooring will be better for vacuuming.

Is there any significant disadvantages to the vinyl flooring?

Will likely use a weather tech or rubber Matt over anyway.

Thanks

I had vinyl flooring in my 2010 F150 and it was great. Held up well and when I sold it after 10 years of use to floor still look great. In Florida it rains frequently and carpet can get a moldy smell. Vinyl never did. Also easy to clean. Never vacuumed. Used a small broom or just opened the doors and use a leaf blower. Also never used floor mats. I see no downside.

I had vinyl floors in an F350 for years. I ran Husky liners as well. Zero downside as far as I’m concerned.

Ya, I had a 2007 FJ cruiser, that I just sold and the vinyl floors in it looked brand new, after 14 years and 200 thousand miles.

I specifically ordered the carpet delete because of dogs.
Incidently; carpet isn't available in the 2020 DR Defendeds

I special ordered the rubber floor with zero regrets.
The new RR Defender comes only with the rubber floods.

I have vinyl and I love it. It makes 0 sense to put carpet in trucks. Everyone spends hundreds to cover it all up anyways… I honestly can’t believe this isn’t standard practice on all trims.

Agree 100%. If it was an option the the Lariat I would get vinyl. Carpet has no business being in any car other than some luxury model that only gets driven to church on Sundays.
