I currently have a 2021 XLT crew cab 4x4 2.7 with 3.55s. Love it, although it arrived with 700 miles (from a different location same dealer) and has 3-4 spots where the there's paint issues (all paint deep), in addition to some scratches that could be buffed out.
I went ahead and bought it as the sales manager said the body shop will get those areas fixed. A couple weeks later I go in and the body shop manager says it's going to be $5k+. So now they're buying the truck back and getting invoice on another 2021.
New truck I'm looking at: XLT crew cab 4x4 3.5EB with 3.31s & the optional 20" sport wheels with the 275/60R20 tires. ****What I'm worried about is since for 2021 Ford switched their 20" wheels to 275/60R20 (33") from 275/55R20 (32") in past years. -- That combined with the 3.31 E-lock gears ... I will tow a 4000lb travel trailer a couple times a year is all. But I'm also a very spirited driver and don't want to take a hit on performance from my 2.7 3.55 gears with the sport 18" wheels. I did some dragy runs with the 2.7 and it's right at 14.4-14.5 @94mph consistently over 3-4 runs.
So, anyone else have the 3.5EB with 3.31s with 20" wheels? Still have some performance?
