Random… but I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced the same.

I had to hard brake the other day because of some idiot running a light, the truck brakes did amazing.

BUT now it seems like first thing in AM when reversing it slighty squeaks when applying pressure on the brake but then goes away… but if truck sits for a while then I go to reverse it slightly squeaks again…

Don’t know if the hard brake loosened something up or it’s a coincidence… does anyone else get a slight squeak in AM?

Thanks

This happens on my 2012, seems more prevalent after either a longer sit or rain. No experience with a 22 as I'm still waiting...

Good to know, I’m guessing it’s just a coincidence after my hard brake I had to do

I have the same issue. Every morning I have to jump on the brakes so I don't wake the neighbors up backing out a brand new $70k truck.

Good job Ford.

Dealer one couldn't replicate it pretty sure they didn't move the truck.

Dealer two apparently squeaky brakes on a brand new truck with less than 20k miles is "normal".

I have a little over 2k miles on mine, I am wondering if the hard brake did it but I guess not if others have it too. Did the dealer say what it could be from?

My '21 PB truck doesn't do this, but our '13 Subaru does every morning only when backing up first thing.

Brake noise is caused by the pads moving[vibration] in the caliper. Sometimes dirt will get behind the pads causing noise. The only thing to do is have your dealer do the equivalent of a brake job minus the pads. Remove all hardware , clean and relube everything. This doesn't always fix the problem. Hope this helps.

Good to know, but literally only does it first thing in the morning when reversing not even going forward, I am guessing just moisture in the morning

My 22 with 8000 miles does this, too. My new 2019 Ram 1500 did it, as well. I chalk it up to brake dust or something on the rotors/pads in the morning. It only does it in first thing in the AM.

Mine does it to and I have 23,817 miles on mine. It annoys me since I leave early in the morning.

Come to think of it, my sister in laws 2020 escape does the same thing. Noisy brakes only when backing out of her garage in the am.

My 2019 sounded like a whale grunting when I hit the brakes in reverse. Especially on foggy mornings or rainy mornings.

Same here… only in the morning backing out. It is a very faint squeak but happens every morning. 3800miles

Yea that’s what I am thinking guessing it’s the type of brake pads they use. It only does it in reverse not going forward lol
