So I got into a small fender bender involving the side of my house that damaged the front bumper and managed to score a direct hit on the pre-collision/adaptive cruise sensor. I've been driving it for 2 weeks waiting for parts to arrive for the repair, but I just found out that it's going to be another week or two while a couple of items on backorder come in.
My question....
How do you use regular cruise control if the adaptive cruise sensor is damaged? If I go into settings and set cruise control to Normal, the cruise buttons on the steering wheel don't do anything. If I turn adaptive cruise on, the cruise control buttons will give me an error that it's not available.
Has anyone else had to deal with this? I have a 30km highway commute every day and I'm pretty sure I'm annoying everyone around me with my widely varying speed.
Thanks
