I fix software bugs!
Interesting… a modular vehicle… I suppose it’s probably a lot easier to assemble too…

That is really nice. I hope they make it into production. Reminds me of my old base model manual Tacoma

Man I hate to be negative but the first thought that comes to mind is, “This ain’t it Chief.”

I just don’t see a big enough market in the US to justify all the hoops they would need to jump through to get it certified for street use.

I am actually looking at getting one of those Japanese mini trucks to drive around the yard in.... a Whole bunch of them around town now. No I would never take it on anything outside my block for fear of death...but in my yard to move stuff it would work great.

Is Slate an anagram of Tesla on purpose? I can see Bezos trying to plant his product into people's brains with some kind of subliminal messaging.

This is a load of garbage, imo. By the time you option this thing out, it will not be nowhere near 20K.

For example...No exterior paint. Slate is meant to be wrapped. Vehicle wrap kits will be sold as accessories? Wheels, interior panels, modules, etc.

These things look like those idiotic electric Amazon vans I see driving around and are always parked at the giant Amazon depot by me when they break and are replaced by the more reliable gas-powered vans.

IMO, Bezos is a clown. Wannabe Elon (and I'm not an Elon fanboy, btw). But watching his idiotic Blue Origin showboating annoys me. He's a successful businessman but has become a bit of a shyster. And the CGI nature of this add and pre-order stuff tells me this isn't ready for prime time yet. Show me the vehicle, let people test it, then start hyping it up.

I think he's behind the curve on introducing this thing.

Is this his product?

I think I just changed my mind on interest.

I mean, there's videos of actual physical trucks.

I'm all in on a truck that's as reliable and basic as a fugly Datsun truck.

My mode of transportation doesn't need to say shit about me.
