So I actually installed this a while ago, but it’s a cheap and easy installation for anyone who wants to install SiriusXM on the cheap. I got my unit free directly from the Sirius website a year ago under a promotional offer. The Commander Touch was the model I went with and is readily available from Amazon, Best Buy etc for around $70. I had this installed in my previous 2022 Maverick and just transferred it over when I swapped trucks. Satellite radio is a must for anyone who lives or travels often through rural areas.
Anywho I installed the touchscreen controller in my sunglasses holder, routing the wire for the controller down the passenger A-pillar. This unit fits perfectly in the sunglasses holder and it can still close to be completely hidden The only other item you need to purchase is a FAKRA to FM adapter (linked below), which basically allows you to tee into the antenna for an FM signal so you can assign a blank radio station to broadcast the satellite radio over. I stored the FM receiver behind the glovebox since that’s where the antenna connection is (orange wire). The only other wiring is power, ground and switched accessory which is all easily accessible in the passenger footwell fuse panel.
