In late august i Traded in big blue on this almost new 21, XLT super crew 302a. Few more options like the moon roof and heated seats that I really wanted, oh and the massive infotainment system. After hitting a moose with it on its maiden voyage spent the last 3 weeks on my days off work making it mine.

First mod after getting my winter boots mounted on some new wheels instead of the steelies was morimoto 4banger hxb combo lights mounted to my a pillars. Overall fairly easy install all though i will be fabbing up some sort of blocker to keep the light off the windshield. made a nice switch panel, next days off the 4 switches will be replaced with the same style as the morimoto switch but instead a bi-colour switch.

Next got my headache rack and rails from big blue mounted and bolted down. Along with my reverse lights. Installed a bak revolver x4s tonneau cover

My furry helper gave me a paw on my final day off getting the bumper fogs remounted in a fashion that looks alot more flush and frankly way better. Ended up scraping the aluminum angle iron over concerns of bi metallic corrosion and getting a strip of galvanized steel. Ran the coax cable for my vhf antenna into the cab as well for whenever i get around to getting the radio mouned.

Picked up a heated wheel on the trip to work and got it installed along with the clockspring and harness from boostedgreygoose. Overall easy install. Just take your time with the clockspring

Looks awesome! Nothing beats the feeling of making your truck 'yours'. Also, you get extra points for the dog pics! Gotta have your buddy around for the extra help

You have got to be one heck of a good sport that you could suffer through something like this and then go about your business like it never happened. Me...I'd have climbed to the top of the tallest building I could find and then one great swan dive to end it all. All the best to you moving forward.

So did you repair the truck after the accident or did you get a new one?

Full front end rebuild. Once my body guy got all the damaged bits removed and verified that there was no structural or frame damage it was pretty clear they were going to ok the repair. Took about 8 weeks from start to finish. Insurance took most of that time just deciding on what they wanted to do.

Well I’m glad it’s whole again, hitting something like that sucks. But around here it’s deer, not moose lol. So it’s a lot less damage

Got my matte screen protector in from theocdplug. If you’re on the fence about it, just order it. Waaaaaaay better, significantly enhances visibility and has no discernible effect on the touch function.
