One thing positive about the post-Covid world is that it led to a major shift from F150's sold from inventory to F150's special ordered.

I agree with the previous posts regarding the tiny percentage of 157" CrewCabs ordered by dealerships for retail sales. But I think the considerable increase in Gen14 CrewCab 6.5' bed equipped trucks, which represents what customers wanted if they ordered it themselves, is evidence that the dealerships were underestimating the desire for them previously.

It'll be interesting if the dealerships took note as they return to larger inventory.

One of the main reasons I special ordered. 157 with tow mirrors here. :)

Ditto!
My first Powerboost was an impulse purchase from a sparse inventory. A Platinum Powerboost shortbed.

About 6 months into enjoying and becoming much more intimate with what all it was, I concluded EXACTLY what I would change.

Took another 6 months for the KingRanch Powerboost Long(er)bed Tow Mirror truck to arrive.

Today is the anniversary date for that awesome delivery event! April 28

I've had a lot of trucks over the last 1/2 century. A few that I have very fond ownership memories. But this truck raises the bar far more than I would have predicted possible. I must be the dead ringer bullseye target audience for it?

Does the 157" help you guys with payload in the upper trim levels and improve towing manners enough to overcome the poor turning radius?

It costs you 21#'s in Payload.
Which honestly is remarkably inexpensive.

But it more than gives you back that in increased towing prowess and utility. It's just physics. :)

Admittedly, it nixes a sweet 3-point turnaround

as the owner of a short bed crew cab I will admit the 6.5' bed makes the truck look better.
practicality aside. I am the guy that thinks a shovel and six empty cans is a full load. but the 6.5' bed sure looks nice. maybe my next truck!

I think it's the physics that help with payload by increasing the distance between axles. My tow rating is 11,300lbs. That's more prowess than I'll need lol, but aren't the higher payload PB's all longer beds with lower trim levels?
I could be wrong. Seems the short bed plattys and limiteds have the lowest payload figures.

My SuperCab 5.0L has 2147 lb payload, I thought that was pretty good for a half ton

That's sweet! For a PB it would be legendary lol

That's beyond the reach of a Powerboost.

This is the sticker on the Powerboost I fetched for the company I work for, and it's going to be tough to get one higher

Longish bed with low trim level? I see 17" wheels so XL trim perhaps?

I wouldn't fret.
I fetched that one to fit "the mission" of that one.

My personal Powerboost I fetched for its mission. :) (I like the plethora of luxuries available)

The Powerboost takes a bit of a hit on Payload. It is what it is. But it carries it's Payload as good or better than my previous 3 F150's. It's got a stout chassis, especially if you address its typical factory shortcomings. (shocks and tires and depending on workload, rear leafpak)
