Have no desire to drive to Dallas just for a ride.
But, I don't care if I have a test drive or not.
Have not driven an F150 since the 2018 (I used to rent a LOT and keep the cars for a couple of months)
Only f-150 that irritated the hell out of me was a v6 4x4 (2017) CrewCab that could barely get out of its own way---My old Ranger has more power than that thing did.
But, in the last couple years of my traveling I pretty much only rented the F150 or Expedition.
Could not get comfortable in the Chevy trucks.
Dodge with the Hemi was a beast for passing power and acceleration on the hiway, but the quality of the interior was a bit dismal (rattle/squeak).
But that is all a moot point now anyway. Ford is the only one that produces an Extended cab with an 8' box on a half ton.
The Chevrolet has more bumps and bulges in it than a 300lb woman in a bikini as well
(one of the reasons for buying the Ranger in 05---the GM offerings looked like they fell into the Canyon they were named after).

I have the same time and date as you. Are you familiar with the area? I'm in Al and will be coming in on I-20.
I know it pretty well... at that time of day traffic shouldn’t be an issue.

I'm hoping we see multiple trims at these events.. I feel like a nerd for driving 4 hours to go to one but I'm really excited to see them in person.

I think the 5.0 with deactivation has been put on the back burner---okay by me.

Since I've been reading about oil consumption issues with the 5.0 recently, I'd be more interested in knowing if Ford has THAT issue handled.
None of my current vehicles use any oil between changes (5000 mi) and I don't even bother to check it anymore. To the point I forgot where the hood release is on the Ranger.

If my old worn out 307 from 1973 is not using any oil between changes, a brand new truck with any engine in it should not be using any between changes.

When I see some have posted (in other places) a lost of 3qts between changes, that is a lot of oil.
Don't care if the engine holds 8----should still be holding 8 at service time.

So--those that go to the 'preview', appreciate someone asking about that.

I hope they come to Ohio but probably won't. I'll have to wait till November to test drive one

I'm sure they will, they will want a little bit of everything there for people to see and want. I'm drive about 4 hours also, 2 out and 2 back.
