Show me your flat surface bench jump seats 40/20/40

Why is it bad? I am getting ready to order a Lariat in the split bench and I can't decide if I want this or not..

it’s super hard plastic right on your elbow. Not worth it.

I have the bench seat in my PB. When buying, I really didn't care much one way or the other, but after having it, I'd rather ditch the hard, plastic work surface for a something padded with more storage.

Anyone seen any solutions for that yet?

I have this work surface and don't use it. I'd prefer a padded console. Anyone in the San Diego area want to trade? It would have to be black leather to match my interior.

Yeah, love the jump seat itself, but don't use the work surface and would rather have the old style, jump seat console. I have done long trips with it thought and it's actually not too bad comfort wise, but would be better if it were a normal pad.

so what does the 40/20/40 look/feel like that is NOT optioned with the work surface? is is just material of the back of the jump seat?? or still hard plastic. thank you!

It’s just the same fabric as your seat backs. At least it is in my 2022 STX.

Does your console (on the middle seatback) open up? It looks like you have a handle there in your photo. On my XL (STX BAP) it does not.

Yes it does open up.

The 2021 XLs had to opening fold down seat back console, the 2022 do not, also the 2021 XLs had the upper glove box with a opening/closing door and the 2022 have a shelf. I miss the console door but now for my usage I am starting to like shelf the better.
