I posted on here about my seat size issue and have seen guys make similar comments here and other places, but I’m still scratching my head. Below is a picture looking down on my seat. Every other 21 I’ve seen has a larger drivers seat. The front left portion of the seat overlaps the plastic by a good margin. Mine doesn’t even come to the edge of the plastic in the front. Can some of you take a pic and post it from a similar angle??

The cloth seat fills in that gap completely.

Yep. And the bolster actually is on top of the plastic looking straight down. Easily 2-3 inches wider than mine. I’ve measured them too.

I am 5'8" - 185lbs, so I doubt I am going to notice if the seat is smaller than it should be. I am coming out of a Tacoma, so everything is going to be bigger to me (although the Ford windshield seems small to me). That being said, I don't understand how Ford could miss the mark on the seats. This is a full size truck, which are typically driven by full-size guys. I assume you are not Andre The Giant or Shaquille O'Neil, so this is just a glaring oversight on their part or a massive error by their supplier, which has not been caught yet.

You can see on the 2020 seat that it does not start to curve in until well past the plastic, which looks to give more depth. In addition, the thigh bolster looks to stick out further over the side of the seat. Maybe someone with a 2020 can take some measurements and we can compare to the 2021?

I had replied on a separate post that my King Ranch measurements were about the same on my 2011 vs. my 2021. I don’t think it’s the seat size. I think it’s 1) the lack of a good side bolster (the seat is mushy and flat) and 2) that the seat is scrunched in next to the console on the right side, which forces your whole body about an inch to the left and off the seat.

That’s what I’m talking about! That Lariat seat is the way they should be, period. Every other truck I’ve see or been in is the exact same way. My seat isn’t even close to that. I’m actually at my dealer now and looked at every other 21 on the lot. He doesn’t have a KR, Platinum or Limited, but every truck they have mirrors the Lariat seat. They extend over the plastic as they should.
