Rust on rear end of 2021 F-150 -- any others?

The GM of the Ford Dealer that sold this POS to to me said too bad not covered under warranty on page 70 of the warranty book? Will see them in court. Anyone with these same issues on brand new truck and want to join the lawsuit let me know. Now to find just the right attorney to take on Ford. Great Truck but they are screwing some of us and I for one will not stand for it.

My truck was built Feb 26 in Dearborn with a max tow axle, delivered one week later. It looked great with a casual peek.
Looking closer, paint trended from thin to none at the ends of the axle and up on the pumpkin. All photos are as I found it.

I used a $6.00 can of Rustoleum and a cheap brush to coat the entire axle in half an hour, issue closed satisfactorily for me.

NO other issues found in my first 600 miles, awesome truck!

I picked up my Platinum 3.5HEV Tuesday night. It was a dealer order and just arrived last Saturday or Sunday to the dealer (VIN decoder says mine also came from Dearborn) and mine looks very similar to yours. The rear of the diff and axle were sprayed with something, the front wasn't touched (and shows rust), and the ends are not sprayed. Thankfully, thus far, no sign of corrosion on the brake lines and exhaust system but I will be watching those closely for a while.

Wow that is one of the worst i have seen, I just got my truck back after a computer issue, and also reported it to my local dealer about the rust, and Fords response is, that the rust is normal, I said BS on it. I am afraid all of us unlucky people with the new F150s are screwed

We are not screwed, that is why there are Courts, Lawyers, product liability and class action cases. It are these things that make companies build products that are safer than if we did not have any recourse, but we do.

This is crazy & I'm willing to bet Ford leadership has not seen how bad this (your truck ) is - this cannot be wished away on Ford's part.

If anyone has their trucks looked at by the dealer after purchase please be sure to have the dealer write up the "Service Report" or work order etc, keep a copy in your records.

I was at our dealer again today, 8 trucks looked like they should or pretty close. 1 XLT 3.5 XTR regular tow looked really bad. Didn't get a pic of that one

I saved this picture and I’m gonna show it to my dealer when I pick up my truck, which should be within a month from now.
I would recommend this for anyone that hasn’t picked up their truck yet and perhaps also the guys that have. This is a solid reference for comparison when they try to tell you it’s normal.
This photo is absolutely bonerific. I’ve been looking under almost every 2021 mode I’ve come across and have yet to see one as clean as this. It’s almost unicorn-like

Mine was built Feb 27th and looks almost identical. I no more got the words rust out of my mouth and the dealer rep went into a canned (likely Ford Corp) response about surface rust. We’ll see what they do, I still have a few days before they say it will be ready for pick up.

It was also made in Dearborn, yes everyone the first thing I did was the inspection on was the rust issue. To my surprise when I crawled underneath NO RUST at all I could hardly believe it, the rear end, shock mounts and frame was all painted a glossy black. Maybe all the press on this issue has got someone off there rear end, ( no pun intended ) and fixed this issue. picking it up monday and will do the full f150 check list before any money changes hands

I’m going to work on this in the next week and will send updated photos. 9/22 order, 2/25 Dearborn build, 3/17 delivery. Most of mine seems to be surface rust but still just not a good look by Ford. My dealer said they’d work on it but they are 2+ hrs each way and no idea if that just means spray paint it, so I’ll just do it myself and make them note it in case Ford decides to or is made to do the right thing on this.
