Underbody parts on some customers' brand-new trucks have arrived already rusty, and they're not happy. Ford says the problem has no impact on performance or part life.
A bent bumper or fender or even a torn seat covering would have no impact on performance or part life either.
This is nothing more than a horseshit-mickeymouse-bullshit statement that essentially tells the buyers to “piss off”.
I have some unprotected (rusty) parts under mine as well. Hell, my front driveshaft looks like it was lifted directly from a ‘42 Willys Jeep that sat in the mud for 60 yrs.
I’m not nearly as picky as some of you out there, but I do understand your dismay.
I most likely would feel a bit different if my intention was to wrap it up and store it for years on end, but I intend to use it as general transportation and occasional hauling.
Won’t be perfect for long.
Would not have the same attitude with a Shelby, Demon, or Vette
I will not dismiss your claims of rusty crap on a very pricey tool.
Ford should handle this better.
