Hey All,

Just grabbed my 2021 XLT Leadfoot Screw

When driving down the road there is absolutely noticeable road noise and wind which sounds like it coming through at top of window. Alignment seems all good on the doors, maybe a little off at the top. Any suggestions or fixes?

I have some wind noise. Dealer says door seals need to sit in the summer heat and it will seal itself. It’s been over 95 here all summer.

That’s weird, I’m in AZ, been 115 the last two months

Yea. Kinda bs story. The wind noise really isn’t that loud but I will probably bring it back in November. My main complaint is the backup camera quality, it’s terrible.

Yeah it is, it’s distorted. My wind noise sounds terrible. Almost like a window is cracked, and that feeling that you just want to roll up the window but it is.

I don't know too much but, first I would take it back to the dealership and have them adjust the door to level it out to each other.
Or, drive around and see if you can feel any air coming into the cab when your driving? Have someone in the back seat and feel around the front and back doors for air blowing in? Hope this helps?

Yes it does, all dealerships around here say 5 days just to diagnose due to back up. Trying to see if something simple I can fix or anyone knows without leaving it. I had a buddy drive and I listened around with a stethoscope and didn’t hear any leaks /:

I have the same issue. It’s the rear view mirrors. Next time you are on the road, fold them in. Most of the noise when away for me. I was sure it was a bad gasket or window not all the way up.

Anyone have an update? I was able to temporarily fix my noise (Link to thread) but looking for a permanent solution.

Hello Group,

I had terrible road noise (2021 F150 powerboost lariat).

I noticed my driver’s door keypad was loose. It actually blew out during driving, hanging on the wires. Tab is broken, dealer is scheduled to replace it next month.
I used four pieces of black gorilla tape to hold it in place. The road noises in the cockpit all of a sudden went to a minimal level.

try temporarily taping the entire edge of your keypad to see if that reduces the noises for you. If it does, then you know that you need to come up with a permanent way to properly seal that keypad, like I’m sure I will be doing once the broken keypad gets replaced.

Have had similar experience. Noticed when I retracted the mirrors while driving the wind noise went away. Maybe something to do with the mirror design? My 2012 FX4 Ecoboost with tow mirrors was quiet as can be.

this is exactly what I am hearing in my Lariat.

I complained to the dealer about wind noise and they booked it into their body shop. The doors were adjusted and the noise level dropped a lot. Still abut 15% of what is was. Also told the vent visors are causing some noise. Not an issue now.
