rims that fit max tow?

forgive me if i missed a threat about this but how in the hell are we supposed to know what rim can fit over the max tow package caliper? I read from one of you that raptor wheels don't even fit.

There is no physical need for 20" wheels with Max Tow. I have Max Tow and 18" wheels on my KR.

The only people forced to get 20" wheels with Max Tow are the people that chose the chrome packages, because the 18" chrome-like PVD wheels are not compatible. We're not sure why, so that could be a brake interference issue with that particular wheel style, or that the weight capacity of that particular wheel style isn't rated high enough?

All the non-chrome-like 18" wheels are fine for Max Tow.

To the OP, until there is enough information on this site about what fits, you'll probably have to go to a wheel shop and do test fitting if you want to be one of the first new trucks with aftermarket wheels compatible with Max Tow. You might also check on other boards to see if the 2020 and earlier 13 gens had a similar issue, as I suspect their Max Tow packages also included bigger rear brakes.

I know on the lariat you can have 18” rims in the sports pac with the Max tow.

Bad news on the Raptor wheels. I just bought a set to put on my '21 XLT FX4 and the 17" wheels will not clear the rear brake calipers. They will go on, but will not spin once bolted down. I know there are factory options for 17" wheels so I was very surprised they did not fit, especially after watching this video. I do also have the max tow package, maybe that increases rear brake size? As you see in the video, no clearance issues in the front.

Those were the 17” beadlock Raptor wheels. I almost got a set for when my truck arrives for just off-road trips, thankfully, I saw that post. Too bad because you can find mint used 17” Raptor wheels for less than new steel ones. I don’t know if it’s the diameter or the offset. Maybe just because the rear discs are the same diameter as the front but with a single piston caliper, rather than the front, which is a dual piston caliper, which can tuck in more to the disc.

the rear brakes aren't as beefy as the front for obvious reasons, but the diameter of the rotor is greater so it can get around the big axle. looks like i might be going with an 18" wheel with a 315/70 but ya ill go to a shop and test fit

Can confirm that Method 316 17” wheels with a 0mm offset fit over the larger 350mm rear rotors that come on the 2021 Max Tow package. Care needs to be taken with placement of balancing weights, but they do fit!
