Dropped the truck at the dealer yesterday 8am. Was there because the truck would loose the trailer length and width measurements for the blind spot.
They figured it just need a flash to the trailer module.
Well guess it wanted ALL the updates. They had it hooked up around 830am and I got a message from them that it is still updating and going through every module. They are a bit nervous that we will be sitting at 48hrs of updates tomorrow.
Damn technology.
Anyone else?
I thought the pcm was bricked but they say not so far.

Sounds like they might be updating more than one module. That's a good thing if you are behind on updates.

Let us know about the TRM update and the trailer length issue when you get it back. I think I may that problem also. I noticed my BLIS didn't seem to work correctly on my last tow.

Your post describes it as though they hooked the truck up to some mechanism that starts "updating the truck" and that it keeps going until it's done. As if the technician isn't doing anything and can't stop it. :)

That's not how it works. But I'm not surprised at anything that they'll say to a customer.

At first they said they couldn't stop mid way. After the first day they said they could pause it but would have to start over.
Trailer bliss settings have deleted from the day I bought it, but if you enter the l&w it does work as intended unitl engine is off for a while.
Strange because it keeps all other settings, trailer names, prilofiles...

I just hope you get your truck back with everything working as you expect, regardless of their explanation, which they were making up as they went. 🙄🤣

I have a Ford and everything is working perfectly.

But that might be because I haven't let anyone touch it but me?

One of us must have a unicorn.
Or your a hell of a mechanic, I am not.
They built 1500 F150's yesterday
And 1500 the day before yesterday
And.....
It goes back decades at that amazing pace.

Yet a forum can leave the impression that everyone's F150 is just like the one the forum member has experienced.

I am far from the only forum member who would report that his ownership experience has been one that has not required a single visit to a dealership.
And statistically speaking, most F150's haven't.

It's an unpopular proclamation, I realize.

Truck back from dealer.
All working as it should so far.
Trailer measurements staying put.
Given the 52hrs of update I thought the computer may have bricked.
So nice not to drive the 18F150 work truck anymore.
Tech said the 21s were much less likely to download via Ota. They could see many attempts but none finished. I only saw one warning come up saying Ota download didn't finish on the screen.
