I ordered my Smoked Quartz Lariat SCREW 6-1/2' Box PB on 9/3/21 from a local dealership. Dealer said that since I'm using X-Plan, I can't lock in the price or any incentives until the truck is on their lot and that X-Plan Pricing defaults to Priority Code 19. Reading through these threads, it seems like this hasn't been the case with others on the Forum.

I should be eligible for:
$1,000 Built For You By You Retail Custom Order Bonus Cash (PGM #38150, End Date: 9/30/2021)
$500 Military Appreciation (eCertificate ID obtained, End Date: 1/3/2022)
$750 Exclusive Cash Reward (Personal Code obtained, Expiration Date 1/3/22)

I called Ford Performance today to check on the order status. They provided my VIN but said they only show the $750 PCO and to check with the dealership about the others.
The dealership provided the same VIN with a Build Date of 11/1/21 but said they can't enter anything until the truck arrives on the lot and that I need to contact Ford about the incentives.

Suggestions on what I can do to lock these in?

Im being told theres no way to lock in rates as those incentives are offered by ford. Also states must take delivery of dealer stock. Id love to be able to lock in that 0% but seems like its luck of the draw. It all depends on what is offered at the time of delivery. Although i have read a few people state that they locked in rates with their dealorship.

FWIW, when I placed order on April 1, dealer said incentives would apply at time of delivery, which for me was mid July. This seems consistent with what some others have said on other threads - I.e., The applicable snapshot is what is in effect at the time of delivery, not at the time of ordering.

I called the Ford Incentives folks today about my Military eCertificate and trying stack it with other offers. A local dealership told me I couldn't obtain 0% financing and also use the $500 military discount. The Ford Incentives folks told me that's correct and further, if I skipped the financing to use the Military eCertificate, I wouldn't be able combine it with the $1000 Retail Custom Order Bonus Cash. Bottom line they said was the Military eCertificate is a stand-alone offer - it cannot be combined with any other offer. So, I'd be better off to skip using the Military eCertificate and stick with the 0% financing and the RCOBC.

I used the military discount plenty of times through ID.me and still used the follow on incentives, even a few years ago during 4th of July when the mil. dis. was up to $1k. Someone is lying, or being to lazy to look into your specific situation.

What I don't understand is why both the dealer and the agent I spoke with at FPP claimed to have no knowledge of the current $1,000 Built For You By You Retail Custom Order Bonus Cash which is still on Ford's website! Guess I'll wait and see what's available if and when the truck actually arrives.

Your dealer will be able to give you the rebates from order time by selecting the “Protection Date” box in Smartvincent. You get the current rebates or the rebates when you ordered every time. If you don’t then it’s time to find a good dealer because they have no integrity.

You have a point! I also used id.me for my mil discount. The same rep I talked to claimed the Retail Custom Order Bonus Cash Offer had expired, while I was saying it was valid on orders placed through at least Oct 4th from what I saw on line. That's why it's important to get the certificate and/or program numbers. It's kind of like calling Tricare - if the first answer just doesn't sound right, call back and talk to another "expert" to get the right answer!

Sorry, newbie here. What is Smartvincent? Is this something the dealer needs to do now or when the truck arrives?

We're new to the area and this dealer was the most knowledgeable about the truck itself out of the five dealers we went to. After I signed the order, I became leery when he went on to say that he couldn't lock in current incentives and that any trade-in would automatically be $1,000 below KBB because they're losing money by honoring the X-Plan pricing.

Smartvincent is a tab in the Ford dealers software where they lock in and incentives. They’re locked in at order time and if they get better than the dealer will use those. Any dealer with integrity can lock in incentives and should give you all you’re eligible for. I won’t get into the trade thing. It sounds like they’re frustrated you’re using X plan. There’s a lot of good dealers out there that are priced a bit below X but yours seems like they aren’t. Make sure they check your last name and zip code for a private offer.

Just for confirmation, it’s incentives at order date not when it’s picked up and a VIN is created.

This is the first time I’ve done a custom order for a vehicle, I put my order in on the 1st and haven’t gotten a build date yet. what is the number that you called to get your vin and what other information did you need to give them?

I found the information in another thread. Go to the FPP site listed below where you can call, email or use their Chat to ask about your order status. I chose to call although I was on hold for at least 30 minutes. I just put the call on speakerphone until someone answered. The agent asked for my Order Code and Sales Code, both of which I got from my Preview Order sheet. She put me on hold, then came back with my VIN and told me that I should contact my dealer for the Build Date. I texted my dealer asking if he had any updates. He replied a few hours later with the same VIN and the Build Date. He said that he was surprised that this was scheduled much faster than any he has had recently.

Thanks for the info! I'm in an area where the dealerships are adding a $10K Market Adjustment Fee on top of MSRP and can't keep trucks on the lot. I'm sure they weren't happy with my X Plan. They don't require a deposit so I'm a little worried that they're going to try to sell the truck at that inflated price to someone else once it hits their lot.

Since the truck was ordered on 9/3 and scheduled on 9/16, is it too late for them to enter my incentives to Smartvincent?

I ordered 9/7/21 under x-plan. Was told I would get the $700 xplan incentive but the dealer knew nothing about the 1k order incentive. I called Ford and ask them about it they said the dealer needed to contact Ford to figure it out and I should get both the private xplan and 1k public incentive as they should stack. I had my dealer reach out to Ford and he responded I should get the 1k offer on delivery after he talked to Ford. he also said I have the option of taking the incentives at the time of delivery if they are better. No Vin yet.
