If you are using anything other than a Mongoose and an FDRS license, there is nothing you can do to get your truck to update.

I tried updating today with mongoose & FDRS, can you look to see if you can see what updates were applied correctly? Unsure if the SYNC / APIM update happened correctly.

There was two left, GWM and 1 more I forget, I’ll do them tomorrow.
I could not get APIM to update, wonder if it was because I was so far behind that other things needed updated first?

If it fails you should get option to do over CAN.

GWM and TCU were always between APIM updates for me. Your updates may vary.

You are on Sync 22177. You are no where near up to date.

Yea, never walk away from a Gateway module update. It's literally the gateway for more updates.

It's like playing whackamole in FDRS with GWM/APIM

Could somebody please look up my OTA history? I have been stuck on 3.5.2 since September, but now I see a lot of MY21s getting 3.5.3 recently and have been trying every "trick" mentioned in this forum to get it to download (none of them have worked for me). Starting to wonder whether 3.5.3 will always fail and FDRS is my only hope.

1) FDRS screenshot showing the CMR update I have pending.
2) Screenshot of the "programmable features" tab that shows where to calibrate the cameras/IPMA module.

I'm new to all of this and I'm unsure of what updates need to be checked or how to check them, but here's my vin. Any info would be highly appreciated. I bought my 2021 XLT used and I keep getting errors when trying to sync with Ford Pass; "sorry we cannot authorize your Ford at this time. Please try again later" is what it says on my phone. So maybe I need to update? I'll keep scrolling the board for information to learn more about my vehicle in the meantime.

Your truck has never recorded an OTA, and your TCU is not communicating with Ford at all. I see a dealer performed a PMI of some module on 4/21, but I can't tell which one. Your Sync version is v4.0.21ddd which seems to be the same software your truck left the factory with. On 4/26, they tried a LIN new module initialization, so they know your truck is having communications issues, but it is way beyond my scope of knowledge. @Jesse-Infotainment Can you take a look at this one for me?

That is interesting. I just bought the truck and delivered from out of state. What steps should I take? There's still another year of warranty left and it's my first dealership purchase, so I'm unsure of what to do. Thanks for getting this information for me. At least I'm not left completely in the dark.

I don't know. I would PM Jesse with your VIN in case he didn't see this and quote me so he knows where to look. I have checked many trucks for people, but yours is not a black and white case where I can point you in the right direction.
