Replaced Trailer Mirrors with standard short mirror

So I have replaced the trailering mirrors on my XLT with standard mirrors. Everything on the mirror works, camera 360 view and lights. However, when I went to back up a message popped up on the dash stating reverse breaking is not available, contact dealer. I pulled the codes with Forscan and found a B1578 in the IPMA, indicating 360 calibration is required. I've read several people changing the mirrors without incident. Is 360 calibration truly needed?

Ford uses some kind fancy calibration software to "re-lace" the combination of all cameras into the 360 view. Basically accounting for the overlaps.

Yea I provided a part number, and if you do your own research from online vendors you can get them as low as about $550. Only reason I didn't post the vendor's is there was a bunch of criscross information and wrong pictures since such a new part. But with THAT part number and fords website you can do your own research to find the correct mirror you need for your rig and options.
