So. Marked with tape. Cut below the line with a jigsaw using a wood finish blade, then I sanded up to the tape line using a random orbital sander and 80 grit. Then finished off the edges with 220 grit and hand rounded the corners with a 220 block.

I'll try to get some better pics tomorrow. But overall I like this better. It leaves strength in the plastic under the tow hooks and has just the slightest deflection left to assist with road noise underneath.

I wonder if this would have negative impact on MPG on a already leveled truck….

I think it would probably affect a truck that's not leveled more than a truck that is. But the bigger tires you'll probably put on it after you level it will affect it more.

About to go down that rabbit hole myself.

You removed the active air dam from this one too?

How hard was it to remove the fog lights to remove the entire fixed air dam? Or did you just need to unbolt them? Also, was it necessary to pull back the fender liner?
I removed the motors and active air dam without having to remove anything else. It can all be reached from behind/underneath.

It looks so good. No increased noise that I can notice other than the rare wind buffet if you're cresting a hill and there's a strong wind blowing underneath for a moment (think 30mph headwind gust). MPG loss around town seems to be about 0.2mpg so far (most of my roads are 55mph roaads so that probably makes the worse loss than a normal speed limit town of 45mph or less). Probably 1mpg loss on highway.

Worth it for me for the look and the increased approach angle.

I just want to put this info up for anyone plan to add the tremor skid plate like me. The listed part number mentioned (ml3z8419Baptm) is wrong. I ordered it and that one is the plain one that is for the normal trucks. The tremor is ml3z8419Daptm ordered from vin for tremor.

What size and make tires are those? I like the look and want something similar for all terrain?

Nitro Ridge Grappler 285/65R20 on factory Lariat Sport 20’s. No spacers. No rubbing, full lock (with 2” Readylift Level, but they should fit a stock suspension w/o rubbing as well)

Tires measure out essentially to 34.9/11.5 (according to NITTOs tire specs)

Anyone in NJ, PA and NY looking to sell their 2021 removed active air dam? I'm looking to do a project on it. Please let me know, thanks.
