Does anyone have recommendations for exhaust for a 5.0 Reg cab? I have been looking at everything from pre axle exit to after axle exit. I want something with a good tone and not a lot of drone but not too loud that I cant hold a conversation in the truck.

Good luck.

Better off just swamping muffler and save 1k.

How is the noise in the cab? Is the exhaust raspy?

No, Corsa has their "no drone" technology.
I can carry a conversation no problem.
Pretty sure my build thread has a cold start clip, from outside.

I have Corsa on my truck, I'll concur with everyone else, no drone. If you keep your foot out the throttle, it's nice and quiet inside the cab.

By reading all thea exhaust threads, it is clear that a lot of folks do not know what drone is.

Just hearing the exhaust is not drone.

Has anyone done a muffler delete? I was thinking of just having it cut off and leave the factory resonator.

Corsa. I have the pre tire exit. Sounds incredible, zero drone.
One run down some fire roads and the finish on the tips is sandblasted to shit. Just a heads up.

I had a muffler shop weld in a Flowmaster 50 Series and left everything else stock. Cost me about $220.

I had a shop remove the factory exhaust and resonator and weld in a 22 inch magnaflow. I love the sound.

I went with a Borla "S-Type" and I'm very happy with it. No drone and yes, I know what drone is. The s-type has it's own resonator and a muffler about the size of a coffee can just before the rear axle. It has a nice raspy sound that's not obnoxious. At regular cruising speeds it's hardly noticeable. When you put your foot into it, it'll talk to you. I have 3 friends with the same setup but choose the "Atak" system. If you want it loud, that's the way to go. It only has a resonator and no muffler. IMO, the S-Type sounds a little more tuned to me.
