Looks Like a recall is out for Loose/Sagging Underbody Insulators.
My truck is a F150 XLT CrewCab 5.5ft bed with 302a package. Not sure how many this is affecting.

Is this recall specific to either Dearborn or Kansas plant? If it's both plants then WTF, how could this happen?

Not a big deal but how long does it take for it to come through ford pass ? Recalls? Just making sure my ford pass isn’t acting up more then anything as it has been. Thanks
I just noticed it in the online portal.

I suspect a lack of Q.C. personnel. Mine was build at Dearborn April 26

I had an issue with this when I picked up my truck, however I haven't yet been included in the recall. Dealer just pressed it back into place at the time. I don't even know if it's still there.

Built in Dearborn in March.

Haven't gotten a notification email, but Ford's site said my 502a Powerboost is affected.

Called the dealer. They told me they'd order the parts and call to schedule an appointment when they arrive.

Mine was like that when I bought it also. But I hate going to the dealer. A little bit of adhesive and 5 min later better then ever.

I hate going to the dealer.
I feel this in my soul.

The first time I brought my truck in for warranty items to be corrected I was treated very well and was given an XLT as a loaner right away, without me even asking, and they got to work on it right away. Since then I have had to go back several times, mostly because of things they screwed up while attempting to fix actual problems, and every time it seems like they just make the situations worse, after parking it and not touching it for weeks on end.

Anytime I come in with a legitimate issue it feels like they take it personally. I get short answers and no results. Usually some BS response like "could not duplicate" or "they're all like that" or it's supposed to be like that." No, not ALL rear passenger doors whistle in a cross breeze. No the lane-centering is NOT supposed to shut off without any kind of indication. Yes, I should have gotten at least ONE OTA update by now, it's been almost a year!

I HATE bringing it in for service.

In hindsight I love my truck, but I've now grown to HATE dealing with my local Ford dealership.

Same boat. I love my truck but a bunch of small issues (lane centering turns off randomly and won't turn back on until restart, alarm goes off when a trailer is connected and the vehicle is locked, cupholder that was broken possibly before i took delivery, intelligent cruise control issue) and recently brought it in finally to just do them all at once. I had to book out 6 weeks in advance, they sat on it ten days and never even attempted to look at it. I ended up just picking it up figuring I will do it later. It was super aggravating.

This recall involves trucks built at the Kansas City and Dearborn plants. The problem is two of the insulators can sag and rub on the rear driveshaft causing a wear mark that can ultimately lead to driveshaft failure. The dealer is to inspect the driveshaft as well as a wiring harness and some evaporative emission tubes then check the PCM for codes. If all is OK, they will drill holes through the shield and the cab floor to secure the shields with rivets and seam sealer. KC trucks get 2 rivets and Dearborn trucks get 5 rivets.

Ya after reading that if mine ever starts to fall off I will be just gluing it back on, take all of 10 min. I don’t want some random holes drilled into my floor no thanks.

I will have to take it in sooner then later As when I was checking the shields I noticed the rear transfer case seal where the driveshaft goes into the transfer case is starting to form a drip at only 9700km. It’s been really cold so I’ll keep a eye on it. Wait and see what the update fix is for 1.7.1 if I have to take it for that I’ll do both.

Re hating going to the dealer. I shouldn’t say I hate it (it’s just taking the time to go) as the ford dealer I deal with is great.
Mostly the fact I was a assistant service/parts manager at the local Mazda dealer for 12 years. So I know how things work etc lol. Once you have worked in the industry you know there are a lot of hoops etc to go through.
Anyway I won’t ever be getting this recall done.

Did not get the recall. Lariat built July 1 in KC. Everything looks solid so far.

Had this happen to my Lariat 502a PB. Purchased the truck in January of 21. Funny thing is that I am not getting a notification of a recall when I look it up.

I was checking my undercarriage to see what the recall was all about, I recently purchase My 21 Tremor 2 months ago and I also received the notification about the recall, I checked underneath and of course it’s starting to saw a bit and you can also see aluminum tape where they where trying to tape over it, but I also found out that my exhaust is leaking, has anyone else seen this happen yet?

Mine does this also. Not sure if I was being bullshitted but the dealer told me they all do this - its where the muffler is supposed to drain.
